A Visit From Skip.

Jane's grandfather, Skip, came to share his butterfly collection with us. He shared stories and information. Through questions, observations, and drawings, we learned about butterflies.

What are the moths before they hatch?  LYLA

Why is that one so teensy?  JANE

Are these all dead butterflies?  ARYA

Where’s the Greek god one?   CHESTER

On Friday, we reflected back on his visit. We asked each child to have a conversation with a partner and then share back with the group. We asked them to share something their partners said.

What did we learn from Skip's visit?

Ryan remembered the name of the all blue butterfly: Morpho.  LYLA

The one with the tails.  CHARLIE
