“Did you get a picture of the sawdust?”

On Thursday, we shed our mittens and snow pants and followed the warmth and sunshine into the woods.  The frozen ground had been replaced by a softened earth that was begging to be seen again.  Things we had passed time and time again, now looked different.  The grays and browns were beginning to show signs of life once again.  A world of discoveries awaited us…

“He has little black eyes, but no one else has black eyes.”-NICO

“But my eyes are kinda black.”-SYLVIE

“Look at that!  What’s that?”-BRITTON
“It’s a trail marker.”-SYLVIE
“It shows the way to go so you don’t get lost.”-MADELINE P.R.
“I don’t think so.  It’s stop.  Red means stop.  It tells to stop.”-BRITTON

As we headed up towards Owl Tree, we discovered a felled tree blocking our path.  With no way of getting around it, we climbed over it one by one.
On our way back, the tree was gone…but there was evidence left behind.

“It was the man with the chainsaw in his pocket.  Did you get a picture of the sawdust?”-HENRY

“Skunk Cabbage!  It smells skunky.”-SYLVIE

Looking forward to seeing what unfolds next.
