When I First Came To This Hole

I am an important troll, living in a gloomy hole
Under a bridge of sticks and poles; those who cross must pay a toll…

When I first came to this hole, I was not a wealthy troll
So I built myself a bridge, and then I charged a toll

And for my toll I asked for gold
I said “Harrumph” and “Fiddlesticks,” and played some clever tricks

So I got a magic goose and I did what I could.
And I called my goose: on the loose!
And for my toll I asked for gold…

So I got some magic beans and I did what I could.
And I called my beans: make me scream
And I called my goose: on the loose!
And for my toll I asked for gold…

So I got myself a goat and I did what I could.
And I called my goat: ate my coat
And I called my beans: make me scream
And I called my goose: on the loose!
And for my toll I asked for gold…
