Studio Yellow, Week 17

What new discoveries did we encounter when we explored a new path to Owl Tree?

Makenna – I see a little blackness so that means there was a little fire here before.

Ben – Maybe there was a house here before and they knocked it down.

Lily – There’s little openings.

Jamie –There’s a hole.

Makenna – I think it’s a beaver house!
Ben – Maybe it’s for beavers that don’t swim.

It’s a hand picture family.  Ellie
Small groups paid a visit to the museum to examine Gary Schneider’s “Yereski Family Portrait “exhibit. What do you notice when studying these portraits.?

One hand might be missing some fingers.  Maybe it is floating. Stella

I think it’s lost.  One is cut. The bone got cut.  Maybe a bad guy came and cut it with scissors. Elliot

That’s the finger he did have.  Teddy

I can see all of it. Josie (looking very closely)

One is dark and one is light. Wesley

The little one looks like mine and Nina’s.  Lily

That one looks like a man’s.  Jamie

They’re different shapes.  Makenna
