A Glimpse into Metal, Magnets, & Wire

After hearing talk of electricity as we dabbled with wire and clay, we moved the wire into the metal and magnet space, curious to see what bubbled up as the children had time to mess about with these materials in a shared space.  Ironically, there’s been no more talk of electricity, but there’s no shortage of creativity and design work.

“It’s a castle.  These (the wires) are knights.”

                                               CHARLOTTE

Upon noticing how Charlotte attached the wires by placing them through the small holes in the magnatiles, Miles and Ian began to experiment with the wires too.

The following day, Tait began to experiment too.

Ruthie, Addie, and Charlie N. began to notice too.

It’s contagious!

“What does contagious mean?”  CHARLIE N.

Spreading or Catchy

“Like if I have a cough and I don’t cough in my arm, you get my cough too!”  CHARLIE N.
