Studio Yellow, Week 25

Dear Studio Yellow,
Although we have not been together we are happy to know you have been having fun playing at home with your families.  We miss seeing your smiling faces and hearing your excited chatter but love receiving all the pictures and messages you've been sending us. We were especially grateful to have the chance to videochat with Lily and Nina earlier in the week. We thought we would share with you some of the fun things that have been going on in different homes while we have not been at school.
love Alice and Sue xo

Some of the days this week have been warm enough to go outside and play.  Have you been a fierce dinosaur like William? Or have you spotted birds like Elliot?  Or gone fishing like Jamie?  Or even walked your dog like Alice?  Maybe you have even spotted signs of spring. It looks like Stella and her sister Violet are creating their own playground at home, beginning with a seesaw!

Other days it has been rainy and everyone has been playing inside.  We love the fact that you have been transforming into different beings and creating things with paper.  We are also spotting sensory play happening!

Lily and Gracie, her big sister, turned into astronauts.

Jamie, inspired by the Nutcracker became the Mouse King. Luckily Sue’s son Will is home with her so she has someone to play games with while we’re apart.

Stella created a new game ‘Hoppy Jacks’ to burn off some energy inside.  Lily and her sister Izzy helped Mom and Dad by unloading the dishwasher.

Makenna is missing her friends so much that she placed her Studio Yellow placemat alongside her stuffed animals in bed.  Sweet dreams Makenna, we are all missing you too.

In these ever changing times where our new normal fluctuates so often, we are forever grateful for those few constants that remain.
