"CONSTRUCTION" Studio Yellow chorused as we walked down the trail behind the museum.

This construction is the preparation for the installation of an Andy Goldsworthy sculpture coming to deCordova this summer.
The children loved being shown the work site by the preparators and had some interesting questions for the gentlemen, who were kind enough to stop their work and answer them.

Thomas “Why did they destroy the sculpture?”
We are preparing the ground for a sculpture to come in.  It is going to be like a house.
Ursula “A real house?”

It is going to be a house with water.
Thomas “Are you going to put cement in there?”

Lea “A house.”
Yes, the house goes on top of it.
Thomas “Why is the blue (tarpaulin) there?”

So the dirt doesn’t cave in.
