Studio Red: week 27

Dear Studio Red,

It is the end of week three and it seems that we are all becoming more comfortable being away from school.  We continue to be amazed by all the work you are doing! This keeps us all connected!  We think of you all the time and seeing you and all your efforts in these images fills us with great joy!!

MEMORIES FROM A WEEK AT HOME

IDEAS FROM GROWN-UPS

Thank you for the conversations this week.  Hearing from you helps us to support families.

We heard from many of you that time outside seems most important for sustaining wellbeing.  For those struggling to find new ways to engage outside, you can always bring the indoors out with a favored material to mess about on a blanket!

Naming feelings with your children is empowering.  It lets them know that we all have lots of feelings inside and they are not alone in those feelings.  It provides safety and security.

Some have found video calls to work best with two children at a time, using materials to engage and share ideas.

Many parents are creating a flexible flow of the day, embracing the changes in feelings and weather.  Every day manifests differently.  Your child’s new routine can be one with less transitions and greater variation.
