Studio Red: week 13

Dear Studio Red,

This week was short, but we played so much!  It was wonderful to see everyone after so long apart.  We ventured out into the woods again.  This time, with snow!

SOME PARTS OF THIS BRIEF WEEK

Have you explored marker and slippery paper? What textures do you like best for drawing?

How many groups of one hundred do we have?

Charlie Schubert wondered…

How will we get into the woods?

How did the woods feel different in the snow?

Will shared a favorite book for his birthday, The Little Engine That Could.  Many children began sharing that they were familiar with different versions of this same story!

We began reading poetry.  We read poems about trees and wondered, What is a poem?

We returned to our story inspired from different textures.  As a big group we took turns adding to the tale, creating a pathway around this story map.  We stopped at every part!

What did Owl experience in our story?
