Catching Autumn’s Kisses

Our fascination with leaves continues…both outside as well as inside the studio.  From catching to collecting to printing to painting…They have continued to capture us.

Our tracing paper leaf rubbings hang along a sunny window in the studio.
Tait and Charlie N. use watercolor pencils to add color to the leaf rubbings.
Tait, Caroline, and Rosalie use watercolors to add color to our printing leaves.

“I’m going to color the whole thing!”  ROSALIE

“I’m using green.  Look, I’m making beige!”  CAROLINE

“Wow!  Look at that one!  That one looks beautiful!”  CHARLIE N.

Inspired by the book The Little Yellow Leaf by Carin Berger, Charlie S. notices a leaf on a walk in the woods and declares,

“Little Scarlet Leaf!  I found Little Scarlet Leaf!”  CHARLIE S.
