Our Facility
Conveniently located on Bedford Road, LNS is within walking distance to the town library, ponds, fields, and the DeCordova Museum. Our facilities include bright classrooms, carefully designed to make a pre-schooler feel comfortable. Outside, we offer a wonderful custom-designed, state-of-the-art playground where children play daily.
Our facilities include:
Classrooms are equipped with books, sand and water tables, puzzles, blocks, science items, dress-ups, writing stations, and art supplies. Another large room is available for music and movement class, which each group has two times per week. Children regularly participate in the studio to explore materials, develop “languages” to express ideas, and experience working in a small group.
Field Trips
Children walk to the library approximately once each month. Each class typically schedules a walking trip to the nearby Pierce pond and park in the spring. Trips by bus include an annual school-wide trip to the Discovery Museum in Acton. Parents are encouraged to share their special talents and interests with their child's class. In the past, groups have visited classmates’ homes to learn more about a family’s interest or expertise (maple sugaring, animals, weaving, pottery).
